The Kidwell-e Festival is the first event of its kind within the UK to officially recognise, and unashamedly celebrate, the ebook – the most innovative, exciting and empowering medium to hit the publishing world since Caxton and Gutenberg. The festival's motto is “INclusive, Not EXclusive” and this ruling principle is reflected both in its scope – which is international – and key goals: to promote the ebook and award début and seasoned novelists who have embraced the platform, to create a truly popular literary event, to encourage literacy and elearning in children, and to expand the cultural horizons of Wales.
